To Hold, Queer Wedding Portrait
2008
c-print, life-sized Real Doll made in artist's exact likeness
30 inches x 40 inches
"To Hold, Queer Wedding Portrait" depicts genderqueer attendees of my performance, "Amber and Doll, Wedding Reception" posing mimicking "doll face." I later also abandoned Amber Doll in a roller-skating rink, a football tailgating party, a theme park, and an adult industry convention where the impulses of curiosity, hostility, and self-assessment are magnified.
